UK service
The UK service is kept distinct from the Republic of Ireland service. Assessment scope, appointment arrangements, intended report use, confidentiality and professional responsibilities are confirmed before work begins.
Clinical governance
Clinical work is undertaken only by professionals who hold the UK registration appropriate to their profession, role and scope of practice. Before paid clinical work begins, the client is told who will take professional responsibility for the work and which professional register applies. Registration details can then be checked directly with the relevant regulator. No individual clinician is presented publicly on this website until their role within the UK service is formally published.
Safeguarding and urgent needs
Assessment and therapy include proportionate consideration of risk, consent, confidentiality and safeguarding. Focused Care Psychology is not an emergency or crisis service. Where needs fall outside the service scope, another service or professional may be recommended.
Complaints and concerns
Clients can raise a service concern directly with Focused Care Psychology using the published contact details. The applicable complaints route, professional responsibility and any relevant external regulatory route are confirmed in the service documentation for the professional providing the work.
Privacy and records
The initial website enquiry form is intended for brief first contact rather than detailed clinical records. Before substantive clinical information is requested, clients receive information about confidentiality, data handling, record keeping and the secure route to use. Read the UK privacy notice.
Published fees
ADHD assessment: £650. Autism assessment: from £1,250. Combined ADHD and autism assessment: from £1,750. Specialised neurodevelopmental therapy: £110 per session. General psychological therapy: £110 per session. Payment plans may be available for assessments. Scope and fees are confirmed before work begins.
NHS status
Focused Care Psychology is a private service. A private report can be shared with a GP or NHS service, but the website does not claim that Focused Care Psychology is an NHS provider, an NHS Right to Choose provider, or that every NHS service must accept a private diagnosis.
