UK clinical standards

Reports designed to be useful across NHS, education and workplace settings

Assessments are structured around recognised UK clinical guidance, including NICE where applicable, and reports can be shared with GPs and NHS services.

Important NHS information

A private diagnosis is not automatically accepted by every NHS service. Decisions about NHS prescribing, shared care, further assessment or treatment remain with the receiving GP, clinician or local NHS service. In England, Right to Choose is a separate NHS funded pathway and is not the same as a private self funded assessment.

Structured processMore than a questionnaire or single test.
Transparent scopeOutputs and limitations agreed before booking.
Practical feedbackRecommendations connected to everyday life.
Clinical governanceHealth content is reviewed against current guidance and dated for review.

The Focused Care approach

Seeing the whole person, not only a checklist

The heart and tree mark reflects the many parts of a person’s life that can matter in assessment and therapy: development, family, emotions, relationships, environment, interests, strengths and practical needs.

The strongest plan is one that connects those parts clearly and turns understanding into useful next steps for adults, children and families.

Frequently asked questions

Before you make an enquiry

Do I need a GP referral?

A referral is not normally needed to make an initial private enquiry. The pathway and any need to involve a GP or another professional are discussed before booking.

Are appointments available across the UK?

Yes. Appointment format is agreed according to clinical appropriateness, age, needs, risk, location, the assessment question and the intended use of a report.

How much does an assessment cost?

ADHD assessment is £650, autism assessment is £1,250 and a combined ADHD and autism assessment is £1,750. Specialised neurodevelopmental therapy is £110 per session. Assessment payment plans are available.

Can a diagnosis lead directly to medication?

Psychologists do not prescribe medication. A medical prescriber makes an independent decision about medication, physical checks and monitoring.

What if an assessment does not support a diagnosis?

Feedback should still explain the evidence, alternative explanations, strengths, needs and practical recommendations. Assessment is not designed to guarantee a particular outcome.
